This range of In Car LCD Monitors has been designed primarily for Police General Purpose Vehicles to fulfil the requirement for an industrial grade LCD touch screen capable of withstanding the harsh environment of a GPV. The monitors have a native resolution of between 800x600 and 1024x768 [resolution varies] They also include a Transflective enhancement which enables them to be readable in direct sunlight conditions. These monitors can be used as a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) display and for Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)
The In Car LCD Monitors has a touch screen with rugged glass back resistive touch and a USB interface. There are currently x2 inputs available on the display, VGA and DVI, either of which can be used to drive the display from a PC/Laptop. The units clever design means that it mounts into a Single din E radio slot with the screen in a fixed position. The LCD screen has good viewing angles from either side so both passenger and driver are able to clearly see the information from either angle. There is a dimming POT on the side of the units to enable the monitors to dim to ‘Black’. This is helpful when used at night time or in an environment where light should not be emitted from the vehicles. This smooth dimming is achieved with a custom designed inverter board produced by KME. The on /off switch is located on the other side of the display. Cased in a solid aluminium shell, this unit is ideal for ‘fit and forget’ requirements. This unit is suitable for a single din only, but also fits ideally with a double din slot, fitted in the lower position. The ICD-610 is an ideal size to fit within the confines of a double din housing without intruding on any other surrounding equipment.
